Nobody else is in there
No players, no friend requests, no messages. There is no one for a stranger to be. The characters are the game.
Three filters on every message
Phone numbers, addresses, schools, meet-ups. If anything slips out, the character steers away warmly and it never reaches the conversation.
You read everything
Full transcripts, flagged moments, and a weekly summary written for you. No guessing what happened while you were making dinner.
Characters worth talking to
Mila counts shells and always loses track. Toby knows every tree in the forest. Poppy is convinced chocolate belongs in soup. They ask your child questions, remember what they said last time, and send them off to explore.
They speak out loud, so a six-year-old who is still learning to read can play on their own.

The part you actually pay for
Every week you get a summary: what your child was into, how they seemed, anything worth a gentle ask, and a few questions to start the conversation at dinner.
It tells you when the week was quiet, too. A summary that always finds something alarming stops being read.

Questions parents ask
Can my child talk to other children?
No. There are no other players at all. Every character in Buddy Bay is part of the game, so there is nobody to add, nobody to message, and nobody to meet. That is the whole point.
Is this an alternative to Roblox?
It is what a lot of parents want before Roblox. Around 6 to 9, kids start asking for it because friends at school play. Buddy Bay gives them a world to explore and characters to talk to, without the open chat.
What happens if my child shares something personal?
Three layers catch it. A local filter runs before anything reaches the AI, a second model reviews every message, and a third check reviews what the character is about to say. If anything trips, the character replies from a safe script, warmly and without scolding, and you see it flagged in your dashboard.
Do I get to see what they said?
Every message, always. Plus a weekly summary that tells you what they were into, how they seemed, anything worth a look, and two or three questions you can ask them at dinner.
How old is it for?
6 to 9. The characters speak out loud, so a child who is still learning to read can play without help.
